Tiger Band Wins 1st Division in Marching

Congratulations to the FHS Tiger Marching Band on winning an 18th consecutive First Division in UIL marching this past Saturday at Lubbock Cooper Stadium.  Each of the judges rated the Tiger Band as First Division.  Since this is a state year for class 4A bands, the First Divisions qualify the Tiger Band to compete at the Area A contest to be held on October 29th at Ratliff Stadium in Odessa.  

Area A qualifiers and times of performance will not be announced until after other Regional contests are held next Saturday.  We expect around twenty-four bands will qualify to area.  The state qualifiers will be selected in head to head competition at the Area contest.  Winners will advance to the Texas State Marching Contest to be held on November 8th at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
