The Frenship Middle School Band is continuing its tradition of a strong and successful program. With over 225 members they make a huge impact in West Texas among junior high bands.
They are consistent members of the All Region Orchestra and Band, superior ratings winners of the Greater Southwest Music Festival, receive top placements at the West Texas Auxiliary Competition, and maintain first divisions in UIL concert and sight-reading competitions.
Students in the FMS band program have the opportunity to be involved in the largest spirit group on campus. Students enjoy a large variety of events in band including performing at pep rallies, playing in the jazz band, being a member of the drum line and twirling line, competing at solo and ensemble contest for individual awards, competing for all region placement, attending major music festivals, traveling on a spring trip, and the daily joy of being in a band class with their friends!
These students are under the direction of Mrs. June Bearden, Mr. Christopher Dye, Mr. Ray Lashaway, and Mr. Scott Carter.
